CONTEC is a spin-off company from KARI(Korea Aerospace Research Institute) which was established in 2015, doing the business for space ground segment including design, development and integration of ground system and satellite image data application.
As a GSaaS(Ground Station as a Service) provider, CONTEC established a global network of ground stations in 12 different countries, increasing the contact time between satellites and ground stations which enable near real-time image data download.
CONTEC is actively engaged in talks with domestic local governments to use the satellite imagery across various segments including urban change detection, maritime and junk monitoring and crop yield forecast. Satellite image distribution of KOMPSAT series and its own satellite constellation, and image analysis service will be ready from CONTEC’s subsidiary
CES(CONTEC Earth Service) which specialize in satellite data utilization for earth observation.
