Bryn brings 40 years of experience in high-tech development to the MethaneSat team. He has an extensive background in electro-optical, electrical and software engineering. In Bryn’s most recent role he served as System Architect at Lockheed Martin Space where he developed conceptual designs for new space system and executed advanced design studies.
Previous roles included Program Manager, Director of Software Engineering and Director of Systems Engineering. Bryn spent six years on the SBIRS program as Director of Spacecraft Products, culminating in the successful launch and operations of SBIRS Flight Vehicle #1.
Bryn led the Systems Engineering effort for Lockheed Martin’s Commercial Space Programs during its transition after the merger of Lockheed and Martin Marietta. Bryn has had multiple assignments as a subcontract manager, working with many of the leading companies, large and small, in the Aerospace and Defense sector. During a hiatus in his career with Lockheed Martin, Bryn was the Senior Vice President for Development of a pre-IPO startup in the telecommunications industry, focused on high-capacity fiber-optic networking equipment.
Before joining Lockheed Martin, Bryn worked for GTE Sylvania Systems and Hughes Aircraft Company. Bryn has a BS in Physics and an MSEE from UCLA.
